The Application Systems & Database Analyst reports to the Manager of Technology Systems. This position is responsible for the technical details, application use, and business implications on a variety of CapMetro’s Software Systems and databases that includes Commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) and custom developed software on client-server, multi-tier, web and/or mobile platforms. This role is also responsible for providing customer focused service and building positive and constructive relationships with stakeholders and customers, by understanding their needs, problems, and providing timely communication and service.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Manage Oracle Fusion (Procurement, Financials, HCM, etc.), Role Based Security, upgrades, and security.

Implement, manage, and support desktop and Software as a Service (SaaS) application systems.

Configure and develop applications, custom processes, functionality, reports, queries, interfaces, and system integration in support of business needs. 

Set up and support enterprise databases as needed including Oracle and SQL Server on development, test and production environments. 

Develop reports, programs and queries as needed for interfaces, integration, application and/or database management needs. Understand data relationships to resolve data issues.

Establish, maintain and verify database backup and recovery procedures.

Perform data conversions and migrations as needed.

Provide assistance with documents necessary to procure required systems, licenses, maintenance, and support. Ensure any renewals are completed before expiration and CapMetro is compliant with vendor licensing requirements.

Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours IT support. 

Support Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s Safety Management Systems (SMS) process by following safety and security policies, considering safety in every action and reporting safety and security concerns. 

Perform other duties as required and/or assigned in support of the CapMetro Strategic Goals and the IT Vision, Mission, and Objectives aligned to these goals.



WHAT YOU BRING

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.Additional related experience may substitute for degree on a year for year basis up to four (4) years.

Four (4) years of experience with information technologies and systems analysis that includes ERP Financial Systems and two (2) years of experience with Oracle Fusion (Procurement, 

Financials, HCM, Role Based Security), Oracle report development. 

Experience working on, configuring, and supporting multiple commercial off-the-shelf or custom-built cloud or on-premises enterprise business application systems. 

Experience in managing and supporting Oracle and/or SQL Server databases and developing code, queries, scripts, and reports.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Experience with direct end user support in a customer service role. 

Experience in troubleshooting, analyzing logs, and utilizing debugging tools for timely resolution of technical problems.

Excellent organization abilities, analytical skills and communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate technical information to a non-technical audience. 

Be self-motivated and seek opportunities for continuous improvement of IT skills and processes. 

Be a catalyst and a willing participant of organizational changes.

Ability to work in a team environment in a matrix organization, partnering well with employees, management, users, business areas, vendors, contractors and undertake duties and tasks as assigned without close supervision
