WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

This position reports to the Manager of Public Facilities and takes general direction/instructions from the Lead Facility Installer. This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining all of Capital Metro’s public facilities to include bus stops, transit centers, and rail stations.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Note: The duties and primary responsibilities below are intended to describe the general content of and requirements of this job and are not intended to be an exhaustive statement of duties. 

•Inspect, clean and repair all facilities and structures (e.g. signs, benches, trash cans, and shelters) for damage and general cleanliness.
•Maintain all facilities at bus stops, transit centers, and rail stations (e.g. paint and install benches, shelters, trash cans, cut grass, dig out pads for bench installation, etc.).
•Perform minor plumbing and construction repairs, fixture installation and removal.
•Must operate in conditions using PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in Bio-Hazard environment.
•Always maintain a safe working environment.
•Support Capital Metro’s safety culture by following safety and security policies, considering safety in every action and reporting safety and security concerns.
•Performs other duties as required and/or assigned.



WHAT YOU BRING
•Applicant must be at least 21 years old.
•High school diploma or GED.
•Two (2) years of experience in building/ground maintenance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
•Applicant must have a valid driver's license for the past three years-Class B/CDL preferred.
•Class A or B Misdemeanor-Disqualified if 7 years or less from date of conviction or deferred adjudication/Submit to Capital Metro for review if between 7-10 years since conviction or deferred adjudication or more than 2 convictions in a lifetime.
•Class C Misdemeanor-Disqualified if more than 2 moving violations in the past 5 years (Any more than one driving safety course taken for a moving violation that appears on a five (5) year record will be treated as a moving violation and will count against the applicant.
•Note: Patterns of moving violations, accidents, or other infractions may also disqualify an applicant.
•Pass an agility test, physical exam, and drug screening.
