Bullfeathers 2025

Last week in Washington, D.C., we commemorated the 45th anniversary of the founding of SWTA with our annual Bullfeathers Breakfast, returning to the same spot our association was formed in 1980! Thanks to our sponsor, Complete Coach Works.

We presented our Legislator of the Year Award to Congressman Tom Cole of Oklahoma, who’s done tremendous work as Chair of the House Appropriations Committee in supporting investment for public transit. Zach Kensinger of Rep. Cole’s staff accepted the award. Presenting the award were SWTA Vice Chair Chris Mandrell & Shah Remtulla of CCW.

Members of the SWTA Nation also shared updates from their agencies and their legislative & policy priorities for 2025. We hope you’ll pencil in our 2026 Bullfeathers Breakfast for next spring!
