First Annual Transit Day in Louisiana |

Yesterday, transit leaders, operators & advocates from across Louisiana came together at the State Capitol in Baton Rouge to celebrate Transit Day in Louisiana. CEOs from SWTA members NORTA, CATS & SporTran were in attendance as well as members of their staff and operations.
Together we advocated to build support for increased state investment for transit and to better leverage federal funding. SWTA Executive Director Rich Sampson & Communications Director Alexandra Aitken participated in & helped to organize the event along with the Louisiana Public Transit Association.
