Heat Resiliency at Bus Stops

Tuesday, June 11, 2024 (11:00 AM - 12:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

As summer temperatures continue to rise annually, so does the risk of heat-related illnesses such as heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Transit riders, spending a considerable portion of their journey outdoors, are particularly vulnerable to direct sun exposure. Join us for a webinar, Tuesday, June 11 (at 11am CDT) where we delve into Sun Tran’s recent case study on heat resiliency at bus stops and the implementation of an 'ideal bus stop' aimed at mitigating heat and keeping passenger’s cooler.
