Executive Director – Arizona Transit Association (AzTA)

The Arizona Transit Association (AzTA) is seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven Executive Director to lead the organization’s statewide advocacy, operations, and strategic initiatives. Reporting to the Executive Board, the Executive Director is responsible for the day-to-day management of the association, advancing AzTA’s mission to strengthen public transportation across Arizona through leadership in funding, advocacy, education, and partnerships.

This role serves as the primary ambassador for AzTA, building strong relationships with member agencies, government partners, nonprofits, and private-sector stakeholders while championing equitable and sustainable mobility. The Executive Director oversees strategic planning, communications, membership growth, financial sustainability, legislative advocacy, and major events, including AzTA’s annual conference.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative, visionary leader with strong executive presence, financial acumen, and a passion for public transportation. This position offers a competitive salary, benefits, and a flexible work environment, with Arizona residency required following appointment.
