South West Transit Association

Final Opportunity to Join SWTA in Washington, D.C. for the 2026 Bullfeathers Breakfast & Capitol Hill Advocacy

The Southwest Transit Association invites members to take part in one of the most meaningful traditions in our history — the 2026 Bullfeathers Breakfast and Capitol Hill Advocacy Days in Washington, D.C., March 4–6, 2026.

On March 5, SWTA members will gather at the historic Bullfeathers Restaurant, the birthplace of SWTA in 1980, for our annual Bullfeathers Breakfast. This signature event honors our legislative and policy progress at the local, state, and federal levels and includes presentation of the distinguished SWTA Legislator of the Year Award. The breakfast is open to all SWTA regular, professional, and business members at no cost; however, advance registration is required.

Beyond the breakfast, SWTA will stand alongside transit leaders from across the country on Capitol Hill in partnership with CTAA. During this coordinated advocacy effort, members will meet directly with congressional offices to discuss priorities impacting community transportation — particularly as Congress advances Surface Transportation Reauthorization and other key transit legislation.

CTAA will schedule your congressional meetings, allowing you to focus on sharing the story of your system, your riders, and the essential role transit plays in your community.

As an added benefit, SWTA members receive CTAA preferred partner pricing of $299, which includes policy briefings, scheduled congressional meetings, meals, networking opportunities, and admission to the SWTA Bullfeathers Breakfast.

This is your opportunity to elevate your voice, strengthen relationships at the federal level, and help shape the future of community transportation.
