DIRECTOR OF TRANSPORTATION
Full-time position, full benefits package
Hiring range is $75,678 to $89,033 yr., DOE

This position is responsible for safety-sensitive functions to include overall leadership and management of the transportation department, which includes Federal Transportation Administration (FTA)/Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) federal grant oversight. In addition, leading, supervising and training personnel and developing a schedule for drivers and ensuring vehicles are in safe working order; and occasionally operating a transit bus to transport passengers over deviated fixed routes to local points according to time schedule and/or at customer request.
The incumbent in this position must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, including effective communication with employees, officials including local and state level, other transit agencies and the public.
The qualified applicant will hold a high school diploma or GED and have two years of commercial driving experience is preferred; an equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted for listed requirements. Other requirements: must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License (Class C or higher with a P1 endorsement preferred) or obtain one within 30 days of hire; and must be at least 21 years old. Also, must pass a background check, pre-employment drug screen and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held in the previous 3 years.
