Join our team with two exciting opportunities: Manager, Community Engagement (Current Stakeholders) and Manager, Community Engagement (Future Projects). The Manager, Community Engagement (Current Stakeholders) will lead outreach efforts, focused on creating engagement and garnering feedback from groups who use or have the potential to use and/or support our services—from riders to employers to organizations to transit-adjacent communities. Meanwhile, the Manager, Community Engagement (Future Projects) will focus on creating engagement and garnering feedback from stakeholders along our future projects—from projects in planning, design and/or construction projects, ensuring public input shapes our future endeavors. Both roles involve supervising and mentoring teams, building plans and programs, managing budgets and contracts, collaborating with internal teams for message cohesion and planning, and representing the organization at external events and presentations. Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Communications, Urban Planning, or a related field. Directly related experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.

Six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in public involvement, public relations, community engagement, public outreach, or related position including two (2) years of supervisory experience.

Desired:
  • Leading successful public involvement strategies for transit/transportation projects and/or a major community-based initiative.
  • Appreciation for people management and building effective, diverse teams. 
  • Strong writing, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, prioritizing relationship-building and strong communication, across internal and external teams. 
  • Working with community engagement technology and tools to reach a broad spectrum of the community.
  • Transit or transportation-related experience is desirable.
Background Investigation: Employment is contingent upon the results of a background check.

Valid Arizona driver’s license and safe driving record.

Salary : $85,793.00-$128,689.00/Annually
