CEO of envida, named Transit Champion of the Year by the Colorado Association of Transit Agencies
Colorado Springs, CO (December 15, 2022) –envida’s CEO, has been named Transit Champion of the Year by The Colorado Association of Transit Agencies (CASTA). The award recognizes the contributions of individuals and agencies throughout Colorado with outstanding programs or projects, and who have made notable contributions to transit.
“For decades, when local or state issues involve transit, Gail is there to answer the call to action with a knowledgeable and insightful voice that quickly articulates not only how transit will be impacted but ultimately what solutions would best serve the community,” said Transit Champion of the Year nominator, Dave Somers. “Where others see barriers, Gail sees opportunities to form collaborative relationships that meet community needs.”
In the past two years envida has established programs to help individuals get to and from behavioral health appointments, developed a transit program for vaccination rides, and expanded envida’s transit route to address rural communities.
“This award is a testament to the team we have at envida and the committed work they do to help individuals in our community gain the transportation freedoms they require to live full lives,” said Gail Nehls. CEO. “I want to thank CASTA for their recognition of our team’s impact in Southern Colorado.”
