President Trump Nominates former U.S. Representative Marc Molinaro to serve as FTA Administrator
President Trump has nominated former U.S. Representative Marc Molinaro to serve as the Administrator of the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). Molinaro's extensive public service career includes roles as Mayor of Tivoli, member of the Dutchess County Legislature, New York State Assemblyman, and Dutchess County Executive. In Congress, he represented New York's 19th district and served on the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.
Industry leaders have expressed strong support for Molinaro's nomination. The American Public Transportation Association (APTA) highlighted his experience and commitment to public transit, emphasizing the importance of collaboration to enhance the nation's transportation infrastructure. Similarly, the Transport Workers Union (TWU) of America praised Molinaro's advocacy for public transit and his willingness to work with diverse stakeholders, including trade unions.
