Agenda Released, Registration Open for the Inaugural SWTA Summer Leadership Lab
The countdown is on! Registration is now open for the inaugural SWTA Summer Leadership Lab, taking place September 13–15, 2026, in beautiful Breckenridge, Colorado, and the agenda is already taking shape.
Designed exclusively for public transportation professionals, Leadership Lab is an immersive, hands-on learning experience focused on developing leaders, sharing innovative ideas, and providing practical solutions that attendees can immediately implement within their organizations.
The event begins Sunday evening with the Leadership Lab Welcome Reception, offering attendees the opportunity to network and connect with transit professionals from across the Southwest.
On Monday, participants will attend the Public Transit Legal Symposium, featuring timely discussions on federal regulations, legislative advocacy, agency responsibilities, tribal law, compliance, and emerging legal issues impacting public transportation.
On Tuesday, attendees can choose between two specialized learning tracks:
Marketing & Communications Lab, featuring interactive sessions on social media, storytelling, employee engagement, communications strategies, and AI-powered marketing tools.
Mobility Management: SWTA Nation in Motion, showcasing innovative mobility programs, successful partnerships, and emerging transportation solutions from across the region and the nation.
The agenda continues to expand as additional speakers, session descriptions, and networking opportunities are confirmed. The growing lineup of industry experts ensures attendees will leave with fresh ideas, practical resources, and valuable connections.
Leadership Lab also serves as the kickoff to an outstanding week of professional development. Attendees are encouraged to extend their stay for the CASTA Fall Conference & EXPO and the State Partnerships Conference, creating an entire week of education, networking, collaboration, and industry engagement—all in one destination.
The hotel block is now open, and attendees are encouraged to register early and reserve their accommodations while availability lasts.
