The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has announced the Fiscal Year 2026 Innovative Coordinated Access and Mobility (ICAM) Pilot Program, offering competitive funding to improve transportation access for older adults, individuals with disabilities, and people with low incomes through stronger partnerships and innovative mobility solutions.

The ICAM Pilot Program is designed to encourage collaboration among public transportation providers, healthcare organizations, human service agencies, and other community partners to better coordinate transportation services and non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT). By supporting innovative approaches to mobility, the program aims to increase access to essential services while improving efficiency and coordination across transportation networks.

Who Can Apply?

Eligible applicants include recipients and subrecipients of the Section 5310 Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Program.

Eligible Projects

Funding is available for a variety of capital projects that improve the coordination of transportation and non-emergency medical transportation services, including:

• Mobility management projects
• Deployment of transportation coordination technology
• Development or expansion of one-call/one-click transportation centers
• Vehicles used for shared or coordinated transportation services
• Other capital investments that improve mobility for transportation-disadvantaged populations

The ICAM Pilot Program supports projects that strengthen partnerships, remove transportation barriers, and improve access to healthcare, employment, education, and other essential community services.

Application Deadline

Applications for the FY26 Innovative Coordinated Access and Mobility Pilot Program are due September 9, 2026.
