Registration is Now Open for SWTA Summer Leadership Lab 2026

BRECKENRIDGE, CO — The South West Transit Association (SWTA) is excited to announce that registration is now officially open for the inaugural SWTA Summer Leadership Lab 2026, taking place September 14–15, 2026, in beautiful Breckenridge, Colorado.
Designed specifically for public transit professionals, Summer Leadership Lab is a new active learning experience focused on leadership development, practical education, strategic collaboration, and industry innovation. Through interactive learning, real-world problem solving, and peer-to-peer engagement, attendees will leave with practical tools they can immediately apply within their agencies and organizations.
"This is about creating an experience where transit professionals actively participate, collaborate, and leave with practical tools they can immediately apply within their agencies and organizations," said SWTA Executive Director Heather Dalmolin. "Summer Leadership Lab is designed to strengthen leadership, build partnerships, and help move public transportation forward."
Programming begins Monday, September 14, with the Public Transit Legal Symposium, a full-day educational experience exploring legal, regulatory, and compliance topics impacting today's public transit industry. The symposium will feature practical discussions led by industry experts on issues affecting transit agencies and organizations. Monday evening concludes with the Leadership Lab Welcome Reception, providing attendees the opportunity to connect with colleagues, industry leaders, and business partners from across the region.
On Tuesday, September 15, attendees can participate in either the Marketing Lab or the Mobility Lab, two interactive educational experiences offered simultaneously and designed to provide practical strategies, innovative ideas, and collaborative discussions focused on today's most pressing public transit challenges.
Strategically scheduled alongside the CASTA Fall Conference & EXPO and the State Partnerships Meeting, Leadership Lab allows attendees to customize their conference experience by selecting the option that best fits their professional goals.
