SWTA Conference Attendees to Receive Complimentary Rail Runner Transit Passes in Albuquerque
Albuquerque, N.M. — Attendees of the 2026 SWTA + New Mexico Joint Annual Conference & EXPO presented by Model 1 Commercial Vehicles will receive complimentary New Mexico Rail Runner Express day passes, allowing them to experience public transportation firsthand while visiting Albuquerque.
The passes are being provided through a partnership with the Rio Metro Regional Transit District, which operates the New Mexico Rail Runner Express commuter rail service connecting communities throughout central New Mexico.
Up to 600 conference attendees will receive the passes as part of their conference experience. The passes will allow participants to utilize regional rail service during their time in New Mexico and explore the Albuquerque area while experiencing local transit operations.
“This partnership allows conference attendees to experience New Mexico transit in action,” said SWTA representatives. “We are grateful to Rio Metro for helping provide a hands-on look at the services that connect communities across the region.”
The Rail Runner Express is a vital component of New Mexico’s transportation network, offering safe, reliable commuter rail service between Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and surrounding communities.
The 2026 SWTA + New Mexico Joint Annual Conference & EXPO will take place March 30 – April 2, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, bringing together transit leaders, agencies, Tribal transit programs, and industry partners from across the Southwest.
