Texas Transit Association Announces 2026 Conference, Expo, and Roadeo in Lubbock
The Texas Transit Association (TTA) has officially announced the dates and location for its 2026 State Annual Conference, Expo, and Roadeo, scheduled for April 28 through May 2, 2026, in Lubbock, Texas. Hosted by Citibus, the conference will take place at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center and will bring together transit professionals from across Texas for a week of education, collaboration, and celebration.
The 2026 conference marks a special milestone year, celebrating TTA’s 40th Anniversary alongside Citibus’ 50th Anniversary—two significant achievements that underscore decades of commitment to advancing public transportation across the state.
Attendees can expect a robust conference program featuring dynamic general sessions, engaging keynote speakers, and a wide range of breakout sessions and training opportunities designed to provide practical insights and strategies for transit agencies of all sizes. Topics will span operations, management, innovation, workforce development, and emerging trends impacting the transit industry. As an added highlight, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will host its Semiannual Operators’ Meeting on Friday, May 1, 2026, offering valuable statewide updates and dialogue.
Networking and relationship-building will be central to the week’s activities. The conference will kick off with a Welcome Reception on Tuesday, April 28, providing an opportunity for attendees to reconnect with colleagues and meet new peers. On Thursday, April 30, Citibus will host a Big Night Out, offering a memorable evening of networking and celebration. For those attending the Roadeo, participants are also encouraged to experience Lubbock’s First Friday Art Trail, a free, self-guided community event featuring local art, music, and culture.
