Federal Legislative Update

The following update is based on analysis from Blank Rome Government Relations (BRGR), along with reporting from Bloomberg Government, Politico, and federal agency releases.

Recent congressional developments include stalled DHS funding negotiations, a revised $1.4 trillion increase in projected federal deficits, consideration of restoring earmarks for certain appropriations bills, repeal of the EPA’s 2009 greenhouse gas endangerment finding, and advancement of legislation addressing domestic critical mineral supply chains.

SWTA continues to monitor federal actions that may affect transit funding, regulatory frameworks, and infrastructure policy nationwide.
